The project So Far
Steam Tunneltug Hasty

The Fit Out

The fitout is going well, Hasty has been lined out following foam spraying & electrical routing and now John Birkin is well on the way with the oak fitout. The layout and materials are as planned in the designs but how we get there has been up to John and I have been very pleased with the work so far.

I will be more descriptive when I get more time but for now here are some pictures of the front cabin.

The foam insulation done in mid winter hence the incredibly effective paraffin heater

The galley looking from the front seating/berths. This will have a baby Belfast sink with brass taps and a stainless steel Nelson two ring stove

Steam_Generator.JPG

To bring Hasty into the 19th century I have installed a generator to provide electricity for the modern electric lighting

Unfortunately however this little engine does tend to wobble quite violently when up to speed and as it is mounted on the outside of the bathroom bulkhead it is likely to shake the tiles off from inside the shower cubicle
